Alfredo Panzini


Alfredo Panzini (born December 31, 1863 in Senigalli, died on April 10, 1939 in Rome) - an Italian writer.

In 1929 he became a member of the Italian Academy. He was an expert in ancient culture, and in his work he became known as a great stylist, harmoniously combining fantasy and realism. He wrote novels, philosophical tales (including Ksantypa 1913, published in 1939), novels (including Il padrone sono me 1922, with accents of sharp irony), travel reports (including Diogenes' Torch 1907, published in 1939), as well as historical and critical works and works for children.
