Richard Stoop


Richard Stoop (born July 30, 1920 in Uckfield, May 19, 1968 in Croft-on-Tees) is a British racing driver. Career

In racing, Stoop devoted himself mainly to the start of the World Motor Sports Championship. Between 1950 and 1952, 1955-1961, the British appeared at the 24-hour Le Mans race. In his first season he won the S 2.0 class and was the ninth overall. Eight years later he was on the second podium in class S 2.0. This success was repeated a year later in the GT 2.0 class. He also competed in the Tourist Trophy, Formula 2 Lavant Cup and Formula 2 Coupe du Salon. Bibliography
