War Cemetery near the top of the hill

Kopaliny (394 m) - a hill in the Rożnowski Hills in Łowczówek. Its northern, more steep and forested slopes fall into the Biała river valley. Southern slopes are milder, occupied by fields and runs asphalt road from Łowczowa through Łowczowek to Rychwałd.

In December 1914, during the First World War, the line between the armies of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian armies was stabilized on the Dunajec line. The Dunajec and White hills have become a fierce battlefield. This was where the Battle of Łowczówka took place, in which the Polish legionaries took part. Soldiers are buried in many cemeteries scattered in this area. At the peak of Kopalin there is a war cemetery number 171, where 483 soldiers were buried, including 80 Polish legionaries from the 1st Infantry Regiment and 5th Infantry Regiment.

There are two marked tourist trails crossing the Kopaliny hill crossing the cemetery No. 171. There are information boards for tourists and benches.
