Hans Bieri
Hans Bieri (born 22 November 1932 in Bern) is a Swiss cross country cyclist, two-time world medalist. Career
Hans Bieri's first successful career came in 1954, when he won the bronze medal in the elite category during the cross-country Crenn World Championship. Only two Frenchmen were ahead of him: André Dufraisse and Pierre Jodet. The following year's World Championships in Saarbrücken was the second, losing only to Dufraisse and ahead of Italy's Amerigo Severini. He was also fourth in the world championship in Oñati in 1953 and three years later in the world championships in Luxembourg. In the first case, André Dufraisse was better in the fight for the medal and Emmanuel Plattner defeated him in the second. He has won gold medals in the country, including three gold medals. He never performed at the Olympic Games. He ended his career in 1957. Bibliography
