Chrysolina daosana
Chrysolina daosana - a species of beetle from the daffodil family and Chrysomelinae subfamily.
The tan species was described in 2007 by Igor K. Lopatina on the basis of a single male. The species epithet refers to the Taoist Dao concept.
Beetle with longitudinal oval body length of 7.3 mm, with black top with gold luster. Black hips and antennae. Head with very fine points on the parrot and forehead, and prominent on the abdomen. At twice the length of the longitudinal extension, the lateral protuberances of the disk separates the clear recess in the front ⅓ and the deep furrow in the rear ⅓. The lateral edges of the mouth are broadly rounded, the front angles protruding, and the back straight. The scoring of the cap and the cap is gentle and clear, creating a pair of irregular rows at the other places.
An insect known only from southeastern Gansu in China.
