Assamese Code
Charter from the Assamese Code Codex Assemanius (Codex Assemanius) - a parchment manuscript written in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, containing a collection of evangelical readings on Sundays and holidays in the Old Slavonic and Slavonic languages. There are 158 cards, the final cards have not survived.
It is a copy of the oldest Slavic lexicon, translated by Cyril and Methodius. Founded and purchased in 1736 by Jesuit Giuseppe Assemani in Jerusalem, it was later placed in the collection of the Vatican Library. It was first published by Franjo Rački (Zagreb 1865), and in Latin transcription of Ivan Črnčić (Roma 1878). The most important two-volume edition was published by Josef Vajs and Josef Kurz. Volume I (Praha 1929) contains a photographic print of the text, and Kurza Volume II (Praha 1955) is the transcription of Cyrillic. Bibliography
