Witold Kołbuk (born 1950) - historian dealing with the Eastern Churches in the Commonwealth. Curriculum vitae He graduated from the Catholic University of Lublin (1978), doctorate in 1984, habilitation in 1992. In 1981-1982 he worked at the Institute of Historical Geography of the Catholic Church in Poland, 1982-1987, worked at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute on Byzantine-Slavic Culture in KUL. 1987-1990 employed at the Department of Eastern European History, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Humanities, KUL. In the period 1990-1995, he worked at the Department of Economic Policy, Faculty of Social Sciences, Catholic University of Lublin. Since 1995 he has been employed at the Department of Byzantine-Slavic Culture (1998-2014 Head of the Department). In 2007-2012 he was the director of the Institute of Slavonic Philology.
