Tadeusz Wołosiewicz
Tadesz Wołosiewicz (born on May 15, 1913 in Kiev, died on August 20, 1944 in Warsaw) - pseudomim "Wołos" (1st Brigade of the NSZ Main Command and Motorized Command (Codename Brygada "Koło"), in the Warsaw Uprising "Kuba" - "Sosna", within the "North" Group of the Home Army Army, sub-section Gozdawa.) Brother Alina Chyczewska, Jerzy Wołosiewicz and Hanna Rembowicz, cousin of Konstanty Wołosiewicz ("Kostka" - courier of the Polish resistance movement during World War II). A son of Bronisława (née Sawicka) and Wincenty, he was born in Kiev on May 15, 1913. In 1914 his father went to Warsaw, and even before the October Revolution, Tadeusz and his sister and mother joined his father. Tadeusz studied in Zamoyski Junior High School in Warsaw, then in the Cadet Corps in Rawicz.He completed his studies at the Cooperative-Commercial High School in 1936. He started working at Bank Handlowy. During the siege of Warsaw in 1939 he immediately appeared at the call of the president ent Starzyński (registration at the Mostowski Palace) and fought in Grochów. During the occupation he took part in underground work. At the same time, he attended lectures on higher studies in the field of commerce (probably WSH).
Tadeusz belonged to the National Armed Forces (First Brigade of the NSZ Main Command and Motorized Command (Codename Brygada "Koło"). He took part in the Warsaw Uprising as a corporal officer cadet already in the Home Army (Sosnowy Assembly, subsection "Gozdawa" He fought at the Town Hall, where he died on August 20, 1944. He was buried at the town hall, he was decorated posthumously with the Warsaw Uprising Cross and the Home Army's Cross.The insurgents from the Town Hall and Długa Street were exhumed.The funeral (at the Powązki Military Cemetery) took place on February 1, 1947 ( B8, row 1, grave 12.)
