Formation and organizational change

In 1925, in the composition of the 4th Border Patrol Brigade, 12 border battalions were formed. In 1928, there were 17 watchtowers in the battalion. In the years 1928 - 1939, the KOP "Palczyńce" watchdog was operating in the organizational structure of the 3rd border company of the "Toki". The watchtower had about 18 soldiers and was located at the border line with the task of direct protection of the state border.

The primary tactical unit of the Border Protection Corps assigned to serve as guard was the border battalion. The battalion was divided into subdivisions of the company, and in turn to the suburbs of the watchtowers, which were "essential units performing protective services", in the power of semi-plutonium. The security service was provided with a variable system consisting of constant patrolling of the border zone, the setting up of emergency, observation and control posts, patrolling and arranging of shelters in places recognized as dangerous, controlling documents and arresting suspects, and maintaining close communication between branches and administrative authorities. .

The KOP "Palczyńce" watchtower in 1932 protected a 6 km section of the state border, 500 meters from the border post No. 1867 to 1873, and in 1938 the 8 km wide section was 750 meters from the border post No. 1868 to 1880.
