Margot Woelk was born in Berlin, in the Wilmersdorf district. During World War II, with fourteen girls tested the meals prepared for Adolf Hitler on the contents of the poison. After the bombing of Hitler on July 20, 1944, she returned to Berlin, where she hid in the cellar until the end of the war. One day she was pulled out of the Russian major's hiding place and for 14 days was raped by Russian soldiers. In 1946 her husband Karl Mann returned and she survived another 34 years.
