Leonid Dackiewicz
Leonid Andriejewicz Dackiewicz, Russian Леонид Андреевич Дацкевич (born 1 February 1883 in Vitebsk Governorate, died?) - Russian military (colonel), emigre, soldier of the Russian Corps of Defense during World War II.
He graduated from the Vilnius School of Physical Education, and in 1904 he attended a military school in Kiev. From 1907 he served as a battalion admiral in the East Siberian Air Battalion. In 1910 he completed an officer's training course at a training aerodrome, receiving a lieutenant's degree. From the beginning of April 1911 he was conducting aerial training. At the beginning of October this year, in the rank of bargain, he went to the Brzesko-Lithuanian Air Battalion. He was an aviation instructor, battalion adjutant and then a payer. In 1912 in Warsaw he trained aviators on new types of aircraft. He participated in the First World War. From late September 1914 he commanded the crew of the bomber Ilja Muromiec. In the middle of November this year it was sent to testing aircraft engines. From April 1915 he served in the air school. He was re-trained in aviation. In August of this year he was promoted to captain. In the second half of 1917, he was a lieutenant colonel in Tyflis. In 1918 he joined the newly formed White General Anton Denikin. In the spring of 1920 he became chairman of the commission and was also a member of the commission for the organization of the air combat school. In mid-October this year, along with the White troops, was evacuated from Crimea to Gallipoli. He emigrated to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. After the occupation of Yugoslavia by the German army in April 1941, he joined the newly formed Russian Protective Corps. His fates are unknown. Bibliography
