Marek Scelina


Marek Edward Scelina (born June 14, 1955 in Rybnik) - Polish social activist, Governmental Commissioner of Kielce (1998). Curriculum vitae

He graduated from the first high school. Stefan Żeromski in Kielce (1975) and rusycystykę in the Higher School of Pedagogy in the city (1980). He also completed postgraduate studies in the field of social assistance.

In the 1980s, he worked as an instructor and later as head of the office in the Municipal Board of the Society of Friends of Children in Kielce. From 1989 to 1990 he was deputy director of the Municipal Social Welfare Center and then Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Welfare Team (until 1998). Between 1998 and 2002 he was the director of the Świętokrzyski Branch of the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. In 2002, he became director of the Municipal Family Support Center in Kielce.

In July 1998, Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek was appointed by the Governmental Commissioner of Kielce. This function was held until November of the same year.
