Since childhood, she worked in linen fields in her village - Dubnino. In 1954 she moved with her older brother to Leningrad. In 1959 she graduated from a two-year factory school and started work in the textile factory "Raboczij", later graduated from the textile and light industry of the USSR. Since 1967, it belonged to the CPSU. In November 1979, she became chairman of the Regional Committee of the Trade Union of Textile and Light Industry Workers in Leningrad.
