The Union of Latin - the political union of thirty indigenous tribes of the Apennine Peninsula headed by the Latin. Created at the end of the 6th century BC. It survived to 496 BC when it was defeated by the Romans in the battle of Lake Regillus. In the year 493, the union was forced to make a covenant with Rome and to create a new League of Lattice on the basis of the equal of all members. The Alliance survived to 340 years when the war broke out. Its purpose was to achieve Latino sovereignty. The conflict ended in 338 the defeat of the League of Latin. The outcome of this event was the complete resolution of the Union and the taking of Rome by the territories belonging to it. Bibliography
