Pascal Meunier
Pascal Meunier (born 19 March 1953 in Maubeuge) is a French diplomat, currently an ambassador to Georgia. Curriculum vitae Pascal Meunier graduated from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (Sciences Po) and the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Russian Philology and Japanese Philology). Pascal Meunier joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1973. After serving in the French embassies in Tokyo (1974-1977), Prague (1977-1980), Stockholm (1980-1982) and Warsaw (1985-1988 - Chargé d'affaires) held various positions in the Quai d'Orsay including the Department of Europe and the Department of Asia and Oceania.
After working at the Ministry of Industry as Head of International Affairs at the Oil Department and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he was a diplomatic advisor to Bruno Durieux, Minister of Foreign Trade, Pascal Meunier was posted to Thomson-CSF (now Thales) in 1993. Director of foreign funding.
In 1996 he became director of international financial affairs at the Thales Group and director of relations for the group with European organizations and institutions. He then became Director of International Development and Institutional Relations and Vice President. He is a member of the board of EuroDefense France.
On 7 March 2012 he was appointed French Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
On March 1, 2016, he was appointed Ambassador of France to Georgia.
