Otton Dąbrowski
Otton Dąbrowski (born December 13, 1922 in Krosno, May 16, 2016) is a Polish engineer, specialist in the construction industry. Curriculum vitae
In 1949 he graduated from Wroclaw University of Technology, then worked at his home university, in the Institute of Civil Engineering. He was ordained in 1957, in 1966 he was appointed associate professor, in 1972 he received the title of full professor. Between 1956-1966 and 1968-1973 he headed the Department of Structural Strength, in the years 1966-1968 the Department of Structural Mechanics, in the years 1965-1968, 1871-1973 and 1990-1993 was the dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, 1981-1982 the rector of the Polytechnic, in 1987-1990 the director of the Institute of Civil Engineering. In 1973-1978 he worked at Ahmed Bello University in Nigeria.
He was a member of the Wroclaw Scientific Society, secretary and chairman of the VIWT Faculty, member of the Committee of Civil and Water Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1989-1998). He was awarded the Knight's Cross (1973) and the Officer's Cross (1988) of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland and the Medal of the National Education Commission (1983). Bibliography
