In 1883 he graduated from the Piotropic Cadet Corps in Poltava, and in 1885 went to the Aleksandrów Military School. Served in the liaison officer of the Lithuanian Regiment. In 1890 Lieutenant went to reserve. At the meetings of the earth, he was elected a representative of the Choral Minister and then of the Poltava Province. He was also the chairman of the Croatian land office. In addition, he was a member of the management of the Poltava agricultural bank. He led the charity. In February 1907, he was elected member of the II State Duma from the Poltava province. He was part of the right and moderate factions. However, he did not actively participate in parliamentary work. After the dissolution of the Duma in the same year, it was elected a representative of the nobility of the Poltava and the land of Chorale and the judge of peace. He was also a member of the leadership of the Association for Helping Learners in State Schools. In January 1918 he was arrested by the Cheka, but soon he was released, then left for Poland.
