Trygve Slagsvold Vedum
Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (born December 1, 1978 in Hamar) is a Norwegian politician, parliamentarian and minister, and since 2014 the party leader of the Party of the Center. Curriculum vitae
In 1994, he completed his secondary education in Romedal, later educated at a post-secondary school in natural resource management. He studied political science at the University of Oslo.
Since 1993, the youth activist of the Center Party, chaired the organization in 2002-2004. He also held various functions in local and regional centers of centrists, from 2004 to 2005 he was a full time employee of the party as an organizational advisor. From 1999 to 2005 he was a councilor of Hedmark. In 2005 he was elected to Storting, holding a mandate in 2009, 2013 and 2017. Since 2009 he has served as the second vice-president of the party.
He was second vice-president of the Odelsting (functioning as a part of the parliament in 2009), from 2012 to 2013 he was the Minister of Agriculture and Food in Jens Stoltenberg's office. In 2014, he assumed the position of the President of the Center Party in place of Liv Signe Navarsete.
