Radwan coat of arms


Herb Radwan Grodziecki (also Grodeccy) - Silesian family of the Radwan coat of arms.

The family came from Brody near Lanckorona. In the middle of the 15th century, they took possession of Grodźca in the duchy of Cieszyn, where they adopted their name. At the court of Cieszyn they played roles. governors and hetmans. When in the second half of the 16th century the Lutheran duchy was reigning in the Duchy, the Grodziecki family was one of the few noble families to remain Catholics. The last representative of the family was Krzysztof Ferdynand who died in 1680. Bibliography
