Initially, he was the chief engineer of a machine factory in Moscow. From 1944 he worked at the USSR's State Planning Committee as head of the department. From 1945 to 1946 he was the head of the board of directors No. 1 and deputy chairman of the USSR Conservative and simultaneously from August 20, 1945 to 1946. deputy head of the First Chief Executive Board of the People's Commissars / Council of Ministers of the USSR. He participated in the construction of the first atomic bomb in the USSR, detonated on 29 August 1949 at a training ground in Semipalatinsky. By the resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of October 29, 1949, he received the title of the Hero of Socialist Labor, the Medal of the Sick and the Hammer and the Order of Lenin.
