Josef Bucher

In 1983 he graduated from the hotel school in Villach, and in 1983 he was educated in the field of tourism in Bad Ischl. He worked in the hotel industry, then began to run his own hotel. He has performed various functions in Carinthia's business and tourism organizations. He became involved in the activities of the Austrian Freedom Party. In 2002 he was appointed to the National Council. In 2006 he supported the split initiated by Jörg Haider, moving to the Alliance for the Future of Austria, for the same year and in 2008 he was elected deputy. Following the death of the founder of BZÖ in 2008 he assumed the chairmanship of the parliamentary club, and in 2009 he became president of the party. In 2010 he also headed the Carnatic BZÖ structure. He resigned from the party's post after losing his party in the 2013 election. Bibliography
