Heinrich Lanz AG - former German producer of agricultural machinery based in Mannheim. History
In 1859, the young merchant Heinrich Lanz founded the shipping company J.P. Lanz & amp; What. in Mannheim.
In 1921, engineer Fritz Huber developed the Lanz Bulldog HL-12 farm tractor.
In 1956, the company was acquired by American farm machinery maker John Deere. Since then, the factory's products have been sold under the name John Deere-Lanz for several years. In 1960 the company changed its name from Heinrich Lanz AG Mannheim to John Deere-Lanz AG.
