In November 2016, she became the first woman in the history of Polish military, who took command of a Navy ship. On November 30, 2016 in the port of the 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla in Świnoujście, the ceremony took command of the ship ORP Lublin by Captain Katarzyna Mazurek.
