The history of the slag in Poznan dates back to the interwar period - there was the KM Union club Poznań, whose biggest success was the medals of the first IMP tournaments. After the war there were several clubs in Poznan. HCP, Union, Lechia, Kolejarz and Guards. In the regular league of speedway only Poznan Guards were started, liquidated in 1957.
