Rita König-Römer (born March 12, 1977) - German floreticist, two-time Olympic medalist from Sydney.

She was born in Romania in a Swabian family. The competition in 2000 was her only Olympic games. In the individual floret, she took second place, in the final she was defeated by Valentina Vezzali, in the team's tournament Niemki took third place. She was a medalist in the World Cup in the team, gold in 1999 and brown in 1997, in 1995 she became an individual world champion in junior. She stood on the podium of the European Championships, she won the title of German champion three times in individual rivalry (1997, 2000 and 2002).

Her sister Susanne and husband Uwe Römer were also swordsmen and olympians.
