He was the son of Samuel Lanckoroński and Zofia Firlej (d.1645) of the Lewart coat of arms, brother of Vespasian, Zbigniew, and Stanisław. In 1639 he studied at the Krakow Academy. In served in the banner of the hussar field hetman Stanisław Lanckoroński, and in the battle with the Cossacks near Bracław in 1651 he saved the life of the hetman. Then he held various functions, mainly in the Krakow province. In 1655 he was the marshal of the Proszowicki poviat. He was part of the Krakow region delegation who negotiated with the Swedes for surrendering to Krakow. In 1658 he was a royal courtier, in 1658-1659 and in 1661 he was a deputy to the tax courts, a parliamentary deputy to the army in 1662 and 1666. He took part in Lubomirski's ransom. He was the mayor of the popular revolt of the prince's poviat in 1666, 1668 and 1670, MP of the Krakow voivodship in 1667, 1672, 1673 and 1676, judge in hood in 1668, Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki and Jan III Sobieski, marshal of the Cracow regional council in 1676, deputy on The Crown Tribunal in 1673 and 1678. In 1672 he became a Cracow sub-stool. In 1665, this council dismissed the town of Lanckoroński, Włodzisław, from taxes for 6 years, in 1671 for the next two years, and in 1676 for the next 12 years. Married from 1655 with Anna Dembińska (died in 1681), chamberlain of Kraków, father of two sons, Franciszek and Samuel, after the death of his wife, he became a priest. In 1682 he was a parish priest of Oświęcim, in 1690 a canon of Cracow and a deputy of the chapter to the Crown Tribunal. In the years 1691-1699 he was the curator of the Crown Treasury. and he longed not to release the jewels for the coronation of Augustus II.
