April-December 1960 Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Voronezh Regional Council, from 26 November 1960 to 23 March 1967 First Secretary of the Regional Committee (January 1963 to December 1964: Rural District Committee) in Voronezh. From October 31, 1961 to March 29, 1966, deputy member, and from April 8 to February 25, 1986 a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
