In 1994, he represented Zambia at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria. In the quarterfinals of this tournament he faced the Modiradilo Healer, which he beat ahead of time in the second round. In the semi-final he beat Domenic Figliomeni, winning on points (20:15). Abdirahman Ramadhani, winner of the gold medal, defeated him.
