Salimbene


Salimbene, also known as Ognibene de Adamo and Balianus de Sagitta (born 1221 in Parma, died about 1288) - Italian Franciscan, priest and historian of the chronicler.

The Sacrament of Holy Orders was adopted in 1248 in Genoa. He was the author of an important chronicle of the history of Wallachia and France, giving a picture of the realities of the 13th century and facilitating the understanding of the spirit of those times. Chronicle was created in 1282 and was written down until the author's death.
