The driver license is issued by the President of UTK. The President of the UTK also revokes and suspends licenses, issues their duplicates and extends their validity. The driver's license is issued for a period of 10 years. At the end of that period, the President of UTK, upon request of the driver, prolongs the validity of the license, issuing it for another 10 years after having checked that the driver meets the health, physical and mental requirements necessary to obtain it. For the driver's license issue and the update of the data included in it, the President of the UTK shall collect a fee in the amount equivalent to PLN 40. The President of the UTK, by decision, suspends the driver's license to a person who has temporarily ceased to meet the physical, mental and psychological requirements specified in the relevant regulation issued under the Railway Transport Act.

The President of the UTK, by way of a decision, revokes the driver's license to a person who has permanently ceased to meet the above-mentioned requirements and who has been convicted of an intentional offense.

The President of the UTK may, by way of a decision, prohibit the driving of a railway vehicle in the Republic of Poland to a driver who has a license issued in another Member State of the European Union where the driver has ceased to meet the above-mentioned health, physical and mental requirements or has been convicted of an intentional offense. .

Decisions regarding the suspension or withdrawal of the driver's license and forbidding the driver to drive a railway vehicle within the territory of the Republic of Poland shall be enforceable immediately.
