Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) is a German music industry organization based in Germany. BVMI represents the interests of nearly 280 record companies, which make up 90% of the German music industry, and maintains close contacts with political bodies, government agencies, institutions and other industry associations, as well as market partners.

BVMI participates in many cultural and political initiatives, including Music Initiative, Deutscher Musikrat and Deutscher Kulturrat. The organization is active in the Künstlersozialkasse and Deutsches Musikarchiv.

BVMI works closely with Media Control GfK International, which is responsible for publishing the weekly charts in Germany. Since 1975 BVMI has been dealing with sales certificates, ie gold and platinum plates.

The Bundesverband Musikindustrie is a local music industry association in Germany, part of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
