Angelo Tartaglia
Angelo Tartaglia (born August 1370 in Lavello, died in 1421 in Aversa) is an Italian connoisseur.
He was one of the most famous mercenary commanders of the late Middle Ages. In his youth, he joined Ceccolo Broglia's condottion. After a brief period of service in Florence, in 1407 Tartaglia went with his unit to serve the ruler of Siena. From 1409 he remained in the service of King Wladyslaw I, and after his death in 1414 he served the Church.
Accused of treason, he was captured in a dream by his rival, Muzio Attendolo Sforza, and tortured in Aversa. Bibliography
