Włodzimierz Braniecki (pseudonym BRAN, born on August 20, 1934, died on December 15, 2015 in Poznań) - Polish journalist and cultural activist. Connected primarily with Głosem Wielkopolski.
Graduate of the High School No. 1 Karol Marcinkowski in Poznan and Polish studies at the University of Adam Mickiewicz. In 1973, he founded the New Gallery at the Teatr Nowy in Poznań (it existed there until 1989, and in 1999 his wife - Katarzyna, resumed her activity at Mielżyńskiego Street). In 1974, together with Izabella Cywińska, he initiated the awarding of Young Art Medals (the Głos Wielkopolski prize). Also with Cywińska wrote the scenario of the play Accused: June fifty-six. He was a friend of Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna and after her death in 1983 he honored her memory creating the National Poetic Award to them. Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna (for the best poetic book debut of the year). He wrote several books, including Bran alphabet, with Skrzydlatym po Poznaniu and elsewhere, Jaskółka w Farze, Szczun: with Filip Bajon about Poznań, about his Wielkopolska trilogy of film conversation about almost everything and the miracle of transformation. In addition to Głos Wielkopolski, he also wrote in the Wyboje weekly. He also published, together with Bogusława Latawiec, Arkusz - a cultural and literary supplement to Głos Wielkopolski.
