Cumana (singel)

Cumana - a single recorded by Czech musician Charles Bovery and his band in Poland for over a dozen years. The work was recorded in the mid 1950s. "Cumana" - recorded by Bovery in the samba rhythm, is in the original "The Cumana Song (La Cumana)" - a mambo composed by Barclay Allen (labeled A. Barclay) in 1947. The authors of the words were Harold Spina and Roc Hillman. In the recording of the Charles Bovery orchestra, W. Gierasiński performed solo piano solo. The second track on this album is "May in Paris". It was composed by Swedish saxophonist and composer Carl-Henrik Norin.

Both recordings were recorded by the Department of Sound Recordings in Warsaw for the Muza label. Probably during the same session two other recordings were recorded, which appeared on the Blue Sky single released by the Musical at the same time, and carrying another catalog number (Muza 2646). All four melodies were collected on LP Waldemar Valdi / Jazz Boards by Charles Bovery, already released by Polish Recordings "Muza").

The 10-inch mono disc (played at 78 rpm) was released by the Muza label with catalog number 2645. The matrix numbers given on the decals are respectively a: ZND 3976 (6-B-84308) ib: ZND 3977 (6-B-84309). musicians Track list Bibliography
