Krówski Żleb

View of Giewont's creek from Kasprowy Wierch

Krówski Żleb - a gull in the south-eastern slopes of Giewont in the Western Tatras, descending to the Kondratowa Valley. Its upper end is located in the lower part of the Meadows of the Great Expanse under the middle part of Long Giewont. The sink falls in the south-east direction and goes down to the Kondratowa Glacier.

Krówski Żleb is one of the six named gulls descending from the Giewont massif to the Kondratowa Valley. In the direction from west to east are: Kurski Żleb, Świński Żleb, Końskie Żleb, Krówski Żleb, Suchy Żleb, Urwany Żleb. These are the most convenient accesses from the bottom of the Kondratowa Valley to the ridge of Giewont, because the avalanches are stripped of the horn. Kurski Żleb is among them the largest. The annual avalanche goes down, especially in the spring when the snow is wet. There is a great crack in the land.
