Iosif Mikhailovich Turko (Russian: Иосиф Михайлович Турко, born 1908 in Constantinople, died in 1994 in St. Petersburg) - Soviet party and state activist. Curriculum vitae

In 1929 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Engineering and Economics and in 1929-1937 he was an economic engineer and head of the Planning and Production Department of the "Proletarij" Factory in Leningrad. In 1936 he became a member of the WKP (b). From September 1937 to April 1940 he was the director of the "Proletarij" "in Leningrad. In August 1949 he was arrested in connection with the "Leningrad case", excluded from the party and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment on October 1, 1950, released from prison on April 30, 1954, and on May 26, 1954 he regained his party membership.
