Andriej Eduardowicz Błażewicz, Russian Андрей Эдуардович Блажевич (born 1906 in St. Petersburg, died 16/17 August 1943) - Soviet special forces officer, then military officer (captain), commander of 2nd Russian Division National SS during World War II

He served in the NKVD, and then in the Red Army, reaching the rank of captain. After the German invasion of the USSR on 22 June 1941, he was the chief of staff of one of the artillery regiments. He was captured by the Germans. He was sent to the POW camp in Suwałki, where he co-founded the Military Alliance of Russian Nationalists (BSRN) and then the National People's Party (NPRN) led by Lt. Col. Vladimir W. Gil. From December 1942 he commanded the 2nd Russian National Division of the SS, which was formed in Stalag 319 in the area of ​​Lublin. After its merger in March 1943 with the 1st Russian National SS Division in the 1st Russian National SS Regiment, he assumed the post of Chief of Staff of the newly formed military unit. On the night of 16th and 17th of August this year, along with several other officers, was assassinated by conspirators led by Lieutenant Colonel W. W. Gilbertson, who rose up against the Germans and then went to the Soviet partisans. Bibliography
