Alexandre Astruc (ok. 1965)
Alexandre Astruc (born July 13, 1923 in Paris, May 19, 2016) is a French theorist, film critic and film director.
He was the forerunner of the new wave in the French film. In 1948 he published the manifesto "Naissance d'une nouvelle avant-garde: caméra-stylo", in which he formulated the idea of a film as an autonomous art with its own original language and an equal means of artistic expression. However, as one of the first to consciously shape the style and art of his works: La rideau cramoisi (1951), The Bad Meetings (1954), The Names of Love (1960), The Long Road (1965) , Flame on the Adriatic (1968). He was also the author of television films, among others. biopic Sartre par lui-même (1972).
At the International Film Festival of Venice in 1955, he received the Special Award for "Best New Director" for his movie "Bad Conversations." In 1958 he was nominated for a Golden Lion for Life, and in 1965 for Golden Palm for taking part in the short film competition for Evariste Galois. Bibliography
