Thomas B. Stanley
Thomas Bahnson Stanley (born July 16, 1890 on a farm near Spencer, Virginia, died July 10, 1970 in Martinsville, Virginia) - American politician, Democratic Party activist, entrepreneur.
In the years 1930-1946 he was a member of the Virginia State Board of Deputies, from 1942 to 1946 he was the announcer's post there. In the years 1946-1953 he represented the 5th District of Virginia in the House of United States Representatives. From 1954 to 1958 he was the governor of Virginia. He was the chairman of the National Association of Governors (1956-1957).
On October 24, 1918, he married Anne Pocahontas Bassett. The couple had three children. Bibliography
