Magdalena Andersson
Eva Magdalena Andersson (born 23 January 1967 in Uppsala) is a Swedish economist and politician, member of the Swedish Social Democratic Workers' Party, since 2014 Minister of Finance. Curriculum vitae
She graduated from Stockholm School of Economics, where she also worked briefly in the first half of the 90s. In 1995 she was educated at Harvard University. In 1996 she joined the government administration. She was a political adviser at the office of Prime Minister Göran Persson (until 1998), then the Planning Director at that office (1998-2004) and the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance (2004-2006). From 2007 to 2009 she was employed in the parliamentary division of the Social Democrats, then until 2012 she was the director of the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). In 2012 she was the spokesperson for the Swedish Social Democratic Labor Party on economic policy.
After the 2014 election in which she was elected to the Riksdag, the government of Stefan Löfven, formed by the Social Democrats and the Green Minority Government, took over the post of Minister of Finance.
