Walentin Chasapow
Walentin Wasiljewicz Chasapov, Russian Валентин Васильевич Хасапов (born January 23, 1918 in Odessa) is a Russian emigre activist, head of urban administration in occupied Briańsk during World War II.
In 1919, his family left Russia, residing in Czechoslovakia. In 1935, Walentin W. Chasapov graduated from the Russian high school in the town of Moravská Třebová. During his studies he went to scouts. He then began his studies at the University of Prague. From 1938 he was a member of the National Workers' Union (NTS). After the German invasion of the USSR on June 22, 1941, through Warsaw, he entered the occupied Smolensk. He then stayed in Briańsk, where he became the head of the city administration. At the same time, the NTS carried out illegal underground activities. At the end of the war he emigrated to Argentina, residing in Buenos Aires. Bibliography
