Maurice Donnay


Emil Iversen (born Aug. 12, 1991 in Meråker) is a Norwegian ski jumper who competes in Il Varden Meraaker.

Career

For the first time internationally, Emil Iversen appeared on Harstad on March 7, 2009, where he took the 95th place in the 10-km FIS Race. In January 2011 he performed at the junior world championships in Otepää, where he and his teammates won the gold medal in the relay. At the same event, he also finished fourth in the sprint with the classic technique, losing the podium fight with Russian Rietivych. In the Erzurum Youth World Cup, which took place the following year, his best result was the 18th in the 15 km class. He also took part in the 2013 World Youth Championships in Liberec, taking seventh place in the combined race.

In the World Cup he made his debut on December 7, 2013, at a competition in Lillehammer, where he took the 37th place in the classic 15 km race. He won the first round of the Lillehammer Tour on December 5, 2014, sixth place in the sprint freestyle. In the 2014/2015 general classification, he finished in the 60th place with 107 points. On the podium of this cycle for the first time in the fourth stage of the tenth edition of the Tour de Ski, taking on January 5, 2016 in Oberstdorf first place in the classic sprint. There were Russians Sergey Ustiugov and Aleksei Poltanin from Kazakhstan. He has not competed in the Olympic Games or the World Championship.
