Klin (Babia Góra)
Caged forest on Klina
Klin - a place on the northern slopes of the Little Babia Góra in the Beskid Żywiecki. It is located at the tourist route leading from the PTTK hostel on Markowa Szczawiny to the crossroads of Żywieckie Rozstaje. It is a western section of Upper Płaj, along with it runs along this yellow trail from Zawoja - Czatozy. These trails are over here a small ridge descending from Mala Babia Góra, passing by a wedge. The spruce forest on this ridge, both above the trail and below the trail, is dry. This is not a result of human activity, but just west of Klina, a great landslide called Cypress River, which caused the change of water relations in this area (dry land). In the past there was a rather abundant Markow Potok (Klinowy Potok), which disappeared after the outbreak of the landslide. It is gradually recovering, but in the form of several small watercourses. Hiking trails PTTK on Markowa Szczawiny - Klin - Fickowe Rozstaje - Czarna Hala - Żywieckie Rozstaje - Zawoja - Czatoża - Fickowe Rozstaje - Klin - PTTK shelter on Markowa Szczawiny. Transition time 2. 20 h, 2 h
