Danish Institute of Culture
The Danish Cultural Institute (Danish Cultural Institute) is an institution promoting Danish culture.
The Institute was founded in 1940 under the name "Danish Society" (Det Danske Selskab). The aim was to promote international dialogue and mutual understanding, among other things. by providing information on Denmark, cultural exchanges, ideas and experiences between Denmark and other countries. In 1989, the name was changed to the current one.
Since its founding, the Danish Institute of Culture has expanded its presence abroad; The first representative office was established in 1947. Currently, the Institute's facilities are located in: Copenhagen, Brussels, Rio de Janeiro, Beijing, Riga, Warsaw and St. Petersburg. Headquarters
In Poland, the Institute had its first seat in Gdynia (1994-2000), from where it was transferred to Warsaw, placing it in the National Library building at al. Niepodległości 213 (2001), currently at ul. Beautiful 31/37 (2015).
