Annie Schreijer-Pierik


Johanna Maria Gertruida (Annie) Schreijer-Pierik (born 17 February 1953 in Diepenheim) is a Dutch politician and farmer, former Member of the Tweede Kamer, Member of the European Parliament, VIII term. Curriculum vitae

She has a secondary education, professionally related to agriculture, and has been involved in running a pig farm. It has included a number of functions in regional and national agricultural and cooperative organizations.

In 1980, she entered the Christian Democratic Appeal. She was a councilor at Ambt Delden (1991-1995) and then councilor of Overijssel (1995-1998). In the years 1998-2010 she served as a member of the lower chamber of the United States. In 2014, she returned to active politics, on behalf of the CDA she was elected to the Eighth European Parliament.

Honored with Oranje-Nassau Order (2010).
