Feliks Janowicz
Feliks Janowicz pseud. Hamlet (born October 20, 1884 in Bialystok, died April 15, 1962) is a revolutionary and trade activist.
He finished 3rd grade in elementary school and worked in a metal factory, since 1900 he was a member of SDKPiL, one of the most active organizers of this party in Bialystok. Propagandist SDKPiL among Białystok weavers and craftsmen, took part in meetings and rallies organized in suburban forests, 1901-1903 was a member of the Committee of Białystok SDKPiL. 1905 for organizing and participating in strikes dismissed from work, went to search for work in Kiev, later to Sarn, soon returned to Bialystok, began working in railway workshops in Starosielce, where he worked in the local organization SDKPiL. 1915 evacuated to Kaluga, where he was a foreman in railway workshops, 1917 actively participated in the October Revolution, member of the Kaluga Workers ', Peasant and Soldier Delegates' Council and Polish Refugee Committee. 1918 joined the Red Guard and participated in combat with counter-revolutionary units in the Kaluga region. In 1919 he returned to Bialystok, where he worked as a railroad locomotive. He worked in the Railway Workers' Trade Union, where he was a treasurer of the wheel from 1919 to 1921, actively participating in strikes organized by the union. 1920 was a member of the strike committee at his workplace. In July 1920, after the creation of the TKRP in Bialystok, he was appointed technical commissioner in a metal factory at ul. After the removal of the Red Army from the city, arrested for 3 months by the Polish authorities on charges of collaborating with the enemy. After being dismissed as a worker in a tobacco factory in Białystok, 1921-1923 he was active in the Trade Union of Workers and Workers of Tobacco Industry, for union activity released from work. 1923-1929 was a mechanic locksmith at a municipal slaughterhouse in Bialystok, 1925-1939 was an active member of the Classical Trade Union of Metalworkers in Poland, during the German occupation he worked in Bialystok municipality, later in the municipal power plant. Since 1945 in the PPR / PZPR, 1950-1955 plumber in the Bialystok Municipal Construction Company, then on the regret. Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Bibliography
