Ubbe Ragnarsson

Ubba Ragnarsson (died in the ninth century) - one of the legendary Viking chiefs, leader of the army of the Danes, who in 865 invaded the Heptarch of the Anglo-Saxons in the British Isles.

In some semimythical sagas about the kings of Sweden, Ubbe is mentioned as the son of King Ragnar Lodbrok. Together with his brothers, Halfdan and Ivar, he led the Great Army of Gentiles to invade Eastern England. It is mentioned in Kronicka Anglo-Saxon edited most probably during the reign of Alfred Wielki, king of Wesseksu at the end of the ninth century.

The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus.
