Leonid Samujłow
Leonid Andriejewicz Samujlov, Russian Леонид Андреевич Самуйлов (born January 26, 1889 in the Grodno gubernian district, died February 24, 1929 in Warsaw) is a Russian military officer, emigrant.
In 1908, he graduated from the Suvarnoy Corps of Cadets, and in 1910 went to the Aleksandrów Military School. Served as a lieutenant in the 2 Rostovian Grenadier Regiment. In 1914 he graduated from the military air school in Sevastopol. He participated in the First World War. Served in 19 Corps Air Corps, and from the beginning of 1915 as Lieutenant in 24 Corps Air Corps. At the end of April this year in the area of Dębice railway station in the air battle with 2 enemy planes shot down one of them. In June he went to 31 Corps Air Corps, in August to 17 Corps Air Corps, and then to 16 Corps Air Corps. From 1916 he was an instructor at the air school in Sevastopol. From June 1917, he commanded the 11th Army Air Corps. In early November this year he was removed from the function due to "behavior of a unworthy officer". Temporarily, he was sent to 3 Airfields. In January 1918 he returned to the Sevastopol aviation school. He then joined the Army's military aviation. In 1920 he served in the White forces of General N. Wrangel. In the middle of October this year, along with the other troops, was evacuated from Crimea to Gallipoli. He emigrated to Poland, where he joined the military aviation in 1922. Served in aviation workshops in Warsaw. Then he worked as a taxi driver. He died as a result of a road accident in Warsaw on February 24, 1929. Bibliography
