Gazeta Nowa
Gazeta Nowa - regional daily, initially a weekly, published in Zielona Góra in the years 1990-1993. History
The first issue of the weekly "Gazeta Nowa" was published on January 11, 1990. The magazine was to be a competition for the local PZPR "Gazeta Lubuska". After the 38 issue of the weekly was published, the letter was converted into a journal, the first of which appeared on October 8, 1990. Local mutations started to take place, prepared by editorial offices in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Głogów and Lubin, and the number of editorial staff was up to 100 people. The fall of the newspaper began in 1992, after the lottery was organized in the form of a scratchcard attached to the magazine. After an initial increase of 200,000 copies, there were irregularities in the lottery prizes disclosed by the competitive "Gazeta Lubuska", which was one of the reasons for the decline in sales, which led to the inability of "Gazeta Nowa". The owner sold the title of the publisher of the Voice of Wielkopolska, who, after unsuccessful attempts to restructure, resold in 1993 a newspaper dealing with the trade of wines. The company changed its title to "Daily Express West", which stopped appearing months later.
