Bayesian information criterion of Schwarza

Bayesian Information Criterion, Bayesian Information Criterion (Bayerian Information Criterion) - in modeling structural equations, this is one of the model fit indicators. The creator of the indicator is Gideon Schwarz, who presented this indicator in an article from 1978 entitled Estimating the Dimension of a Model.

BIC and AIC are the most commonly used information criteria, and therefore the methods of model comparison for a dependent variable, to select the best model. According to the adopted convention, the best model is the one for whom the value of the information criterion is the lowest. Bibliography
